An overview of the first review scores of SEGA’s latest Nintendo DS release:
*Gagging for some R-TYPE action? Better be fast, as SEGA’s license is running out, which means you’ll no longer be able to buy the Master System game from the Wii Virtual Console.
*Got an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch? Then you’ll be glad to know Brick People (iOs) is out now! (iPhone/iPod: $0.99/£0.69/€0.79 - iPad: $1.99/£1.49/€1.59)
*IGN has posted a new Sonic Generations trailer for the “Dreamcast Era” of the game (thanks: TSSZ News).

*SEGA posted part 3 of the Aliens Infestation Developer Diary - ‘Developing Unique Marines’ (full text appearing on AvPGalaxy).

Joystiq reports:
‘SEGA’s Daisuke Sato hinted to us during TGS that SEGA might be thinking about localizing Yakuza: Of the End. We now have another hint in the form of a European trademark. Just yesterday, SEGA filed “Yakuza: Dead Souls,” a better, more natural-sounding potential subtitle than ‘Of the End.’

SEGA reports:
‘The king of all mutant killing sprees just got deeper! If you’re the proud owner of a 3D TV, you can use using stereoscopic 3D to experience hard core bullets and brain matter so real you’ll need a damp towel.
But even if you’re more of a retro gamer at heart then you can don your paper 3D glasses and enable anaglyphic 3D for the full 1970s grindhouse experience!’

Eurogamer reports: ‘Football Manager 2012 fans have reacted angrily to the news that the PC game requires Steam to play.
Any version of Football Manager 2012 bought on disc has to be activated through Steam, publisher Sega confirmed this month.
Gamers have to have an internet connection for initial activation - a one-time only activation which requires you sign up for a Steam account and install the Steam client.
Once done, the game can be played offline by turning on Steam’s Offline mode, but that hasn’t stopped fans from venting their fury on developer Sports Interactive’s forum.’
It seems the recent TV-ads helped Rise of Nightmares to (more or less) maintain its chart position. Good.

‘Attention, all Anglers and Spacecats! We have some dates for you: SEGA Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5, Part 2 are going to be available, digitally, over Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network – October 4th for PSN and October 5th for XBLA!
It is 100% worth mentioning that the PlayStation Network version of SEGA Bass Fishing supports Sony Move!
The original was a fun game regardless of how you played it, but one of the neat features was, of course, the awesome Bass Fishing controller for Dreamcast. Now, you can use your Sony Move controller in your relentless pursuit of the big one!
The games will each be available for either 800 Microsoft Points (same for all territories), or $9.99/£6.29/€7.99/AUS$12.95 on PSN’.
*The Tokyo Game Show came to an end and SEGA Japan walked away with two ‘Japan Game Awards 2011 Future Division’ awards. Both Binary Domain and Phantasy Star Online 2 made the top 10 of ‘best upcoming games’.
*While on the subject, vote SEGA in the Golden Joystick Awards 2011.
Eleven games were nominated in total, including Vanquish, Yakuza 4 and the upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines.
*Better kickstart KEGA, as another TWO unreleased games have hit the ‘net:
NBA Jam (Master System) and Beastball (Mega Drive / Genesis).
*TSSZ News posted twenty new screenshots (as captured by French site Wiiz.fr) of the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations.
*The latest Aliens: Infestation (Nintendo DS) trailer, courtesy of SEGA.
