TSSZ News reports: ‘It will be interesting to see the remark fully in context, but for the moment, we have a story excerpt coming out of the UK’s Official Nintendo Magazine that features Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka again not mincing words.
As part of a tease for the full interview, ONM published this remark, in which Mr. Iizuka furthers the notion that Sonic Generations is a game trying to appease all types of fans:
Our team are always trying to present new gameplay innovations so it’s hard to please fans who like the gameplay from the older games. However, we have included the older gameplay as part of Sonic’s 20th Anniversary, so we think the fans of the older games will enjoy it as well.’

Videogamer reports: ‘GAME has announced that SEGA and THQ will be showcasing a number of titles at GAMEfest in September. Headline titles from the two publishers are SEGA’s Sonic Generations and Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and THQ’s WWE 12 and Saints Row: The Third.’
GAMEfest will run from the 16-18 September 2011 at the Birmingham NEC with tickets available online on the GAME website.
