..with the last update of the year *sniff*. To be terribly honest, 2010 was kinda disappointing in our eyes, SEGA-wise.
Aliens vs Predator was just about alright, Alpha Protocol a disappointment, most of the XBLA/PSN-games were way too ‘bare-boned’ and Vanquish painfully bombed. Good thing Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing kind of saved the day. We’re hoping for more fan service by Sumo Digital, next year.
See you in 2011! (January the 3rd to be exact).

SEGANEWS.NET will be back December 27th. ’till then!
The official Sturmwind website has opened, complete with screenshots, wallpapers, release date and -yes!- a new trailer. It’s looking good, eh?

*For a game that will probably offer hundreds of hours of gameplay, THIS is a surprising (albeit classy) choice for an item to be included in the Collector’s Edition.
*The Official Total War website was updated with a ‘Training Room’ feature.
The Training Room is designed to give players new to the series a grounding in all things Total War, with a few tips thrown in for the pros too.
*Finally, a Christmas present by the Total War team: ‘Enjoy Christmas, and don’t eat too many mince pies.’
*The year is nearing its conclusion but we’re still managing to ‘fish out’ some SEGA news facts, like the achievements for SEGA Bass Fishing (XBLA).
*SEGA USA’s Holiday sale 2010 has started. Take a look HERE for the full list of discounts.
*Segadatabase network update: a video of i miss you (Sega Saturn) was added to our Youtube channel.
*To celebrate Phantasy Star Online’s 10 year anniversary (in Japan, that is) Dreamcast fansite Dreamcast Scene decided to re-launch their site:
‘To celebrate this event and combine it with the PSO anniversary, we have written an exclusive article how to play Dreamcast online in 2010. This is your chance to get back online with Phantasy Star Online and compete against those monsters again – like in the old days!
We would also like to announce the cooperation with redspotgames when it comes to public relations and webspace. See the information on redspotgames.com.’

‘We can’t say never,” Suzuki said of the possibility of one day developing Shenmue 3. “This topic steps into sensitive territory, but history hasn’t always been kind to SEGA and there were some difficult years, sales-wise. Business was tough, and they couldn’t take risks on big titles.’
