
There’s yet another Yakuza game in the works, series director Toshihiro Nagoshi has confirmed.
According to Japanese mag Famitsu (translated by Andriasang), the new game has been in development alongside PSP title Black Panther Yakuza Chapter, and will be released on the PlayStation 3. Full story HERE.

*Play.com have opened pre-orders for a special ‘Streets of Rage’ Mega Drive console. It comes with 18 built-in games. Because it also has a cartridge port you will be able to use original Mega Drive (and Genesis) cartridges as well. There’s also a portable version.
*Remember Pier Solar? It’s been AGES since we reported on this game, but there is some news; according to team Watermelon ‘it’s only the last bit of polishing and adjustments left to do’. We’ll see..

*Many SEGA games on the E3 have gained an award or were nominated for an award. Conduit 2 gained a ‘best of the E3 award’ by Pure Nintendo, Yakuza 4 earned a ‘Reason to Live’ award by Gamesradar and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 -episode 1 was nominated for the ‘Best downloadable game’. *More good news: SEGA received two Guinness World Record awards: The ‘best strategy RPG for the PS3′ award (thanks to Valkyria Chronicles) and an award for ‘the first fully 3D fighting game’ (thanks to the original Virtua Fighter all the way back from 1993). Check out some pictures HERE.
*So we’ve seen the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 -episode 1 trailers, we’ve glared at some new Shogun 2: Total War screenshots, were able to play Sonic Colours, were told about the Crazy Taxi features, took another look at After Burner Climax, were impressed with Yakuza 4..but..what about Aliens: Colonial Marines?!
Despite being announced as a ’showcased on the E3′ game, we didn’t see (or hear) anything on it. So, what’s going on? Well, according to Kevin Riepl -the game’s music composer- Gearbox actually did show the game to a select amount of people behind closed doors. Hmm.

*Vanquish gets a date: SEGA has said that PlatinumGames‘ upcoming cover shooter Vanquish will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in October.
*See, SEGA USA haven’t forgotten the white Dream machine. What’s more; SEGA has told CVG that it expects to have between 18 and 24 old Dreamcast titles re-released on XBLA and PSN by next summer!
